Our team works to Improve birth outcomes among people of color in urban environments and reduce racial and ethnic disparities in adverse birth outcomes such as infant and maternal mortality.
The work we do is grounded in a desire to help individuals and communities build, strengthen, and preserve programs, services and systems that support and empower women, children and families at every stage of life.

About Us
Affectionately known as “Mrs. Done-It-All”, Latoya is the definition of a go-getter. As Founder and Lead Consultant of The LRN Group, Latoya works with businesses, community agencies, and health departments on programs and projects designed to improve maternal and child health outcomes in urban areas. Latoya wears a lot of hats– reproductive justice activist, published author, grant writer, doula and trainer to name a few! She has used a lifetime of experience to hone her skills, pursue her passions, and build several successful businesses in multiple cities.
Steve is a “Jack of All Trades”, a trait that allows him to excel in his role as Director of Strategy and Technology for The LRN Group. Steve consults with small business owners to optimize efficiency and streamline operations using the latest technology, Steve is also a Certified Life Coach, utilizing his knowledge of Lifestyle Design to help his clients reach their full potential.
